photography is life

“I believe that visual storytelling is the most impactful art form in existence. The ability for a photo or video to change our thinking, document time, and convey emotion is truly magnificent. My mission is to encapsulate the essence of what I witness into imagery that moves people and honors the subject matter.

Life is short but I hope these pictures will live forever.“

-Daniel

Daniel is the creative storyteller behind Thomas Visuals; tv for short. As a third-generation filmmaker with eight years of experience in multimedia production, he’s well equipped to bring your creative vision to life.

As cliche as it sounds, Daniel has recorded video since he was five years old. He grew up shooting photos for family and videos with his sister for fun.

Fast-forward a decade, and after graduating from Western Washington University in Visual Journalism, he spent a year mastering studio portrait photography at Yuen Lui in Seattle.

Daniel went on to receive an award of excellence at WJEC for Vagabond, a student documentary about homelessness in Bellingham, Washington.

Throughout the pandemic, Daniel attended the University of Oregon and received a Master of Science in Multimedia Journalism; this refined his eye for storytelling and taught him how to be an editor, drone pilot, audio engineer, and producer.

Once it was time to enter the real world, he landed a full-time job at Glazer’s Camera. This invaluable experience gave Daniel expert knowledge with every camera brand, feature, and accessory in the professional world.

Over the last four years, he’s become an industry professional running his own business, and having a blast along the way. Just take a look for yourself!
